Calabash, North Carolina is famous for its seafood.  But for many people who visit the Grand Strand, the town is just as famous for Callahan's of Calabash; the sprawling gift shop that has occupied the same prominent corner in the heart of Calabash for more than 30 years.  Callahan’s has become an institution.   When you visit the gift shop, plan to spend some time. 

Owners Clark Callahan and his nephew Dean Spatholt opened in March of 1978, with 2000 square feet of floor space.  Over the years the store has expanded several times to a current 35,000 square feet.

Callahan’s not only offers Nautical gifts and souvenirs of every kind. You will  also find confections, collectibles, and an absolutely amazing selection of Christmas ornaments and decorations.
